Because vibrotactile aids are considered hearing-aid devices, and, in the user's best interests, we do not
sell directly to the general public.
Tactile aids must be purchased through a hearing health care professional, school, or government
agency. For children, this is usually done by the school audiologist or speech pathologist. If you are
interested in an aid for your child, a trial can be arranged by one of these individuals. Sometimes,
charitable organizations such as Easter Seals or Lion's Club will assist in purchasing a tactile aid. However
the unit is acquired, it is important that the child have a training program and that the school is
involved in this program.
Training is an essential part of using a tactile aid. The most success will come when tactile aid training
is integrated into your child's school curriculum, with training sessions devoted specifically to the
tactile aid.
